Parent Education

Parent Training and Education

In addition to the therapeutic services we provide directly to children, we also offer parent training and education. Parent training is beneficial to all families whether or not your child has a diagnosis. Many parents face issues and problem behaviors that are challenges such as:

  • Aggression
  • Anger
  • Defiant Behavior
  • Disruptive or Destructive Behavior
  • Emotion Regulation Difficulties
  • Impulse Control Issues
  • Noncompliance at home or school
  • Running away
  • Self-Injurious Behavior
  • Sleeping Difficulties
  • Social Skill Deficits
  • Tantrums
  • Toileting Difficulties
  • Anxiety

Our clinicians have developed a curriculum using a cognitive behavioral approach and includes research of evidenced based practices.  These sessions are offered to families of preschool and young school-age children struggling with behavior issues at home and in the classroom. We also use an interdisciplinary approach and collect collateral information from those important in your child’s life (such as teachers, daycare providers, and other therapists). We assess where you’ve been and where you’d like to go so we can provide valuable community resources to assist in your child’s journey.
