In 2015, we hosted our inaugural signature gala, Emerge Into Song. For the first time in the history of Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing and Emerge, we were able to produce an event that we knew would continue annually, growing each year and providing invaluable support to our center. With 2016 came Emerge Into Dance, and this year, guests joined us for Emerge Into Paradise. Each year this event raises critical funds for the daily operations at our center, allowing greater access to our services for more children who need us. We are thankful to The Irene W. and C.B. Pennington Family Foundation, who has been the presenting sponsor for our gala since its inception.
BATON ROUGE AREA VOLUNTEER ACTIVISTS
Emerge has hosted the Baton Rouge Area Volunteer Activists since 1971. The awards luncheon honors those who give of their time and talents to organizations across our community, and raises critical funds for our center. The 2016 luncheon took place on Friday, November 4, at the Renaissance.

The Angling Against Autism team bass tournament, led by Angie and Moonie Bergeron of Bergeron’s Boudin & Cajun Meats, has benefited our center since September 2012. The 2017 event took place on March 4 at Doiron’s Landing, with the weigh-in and after party at Cabela’s. In it’s 5th year, the tournament raised more than ever for Emerge!
In addition to the fishing tournament, the day-long event at Cabela’s featured wild game and seafood cook-offs, silent auction, car show, kid’s zone, live music, and raffle to win a $2,000 Cabela’s shopping spree, and more. The turnout and excitement from the crowd was truly touching, and we can’t wait for next year!
Official results from the tournament can be found HERE.

The Robinsons are passionate about raising awareness and acceptance of those living with autism. Over the past seven years, BAA has raised nearly $1,000,000 for The Emerge Center. The 7th annual party and auction took place on Sunday, March 19, 2017, with the golf tournament the following day.
