ANNUAL SIGNATURE GALA
In 2015, we hosted our inaugural signature gala, Emerge Into Song. For the first time in our history, we produced an event that we knew would continue annually, growing each year and providing invaluable support to our center. With 2016 came Emerge Into Dance, and in 2017 was Emerge Into Paradise. The 2018 event, Emerge Into The Journey, was held on May 19. Each year this event raises critical funds for the daily operations at our center, allowing greater access to our services for more children who need us. We are thankful to The Irene W. and C.B. Pennington Family Foundation, who has been the presenting sponsor for our gala since its inception.
The Angling Against Autism team bass tournament has benefited our center since 2011. The event is led by Angie and Moonie Bergeron, former Emerge parents and owners of Bergeron’s Boudin & Cajun Meats. In 2017, the event doubled in size, bringing in over 300 fishermen and consisting of day-long, family friend events and tournament weigh-in at Cabela’s. The 2018 tournament took place on March 3, 2018. In addition to the fishing tournament, the day-long event at Cabela’s features a wild game and seafood cook-off, silent auction, and kid’s zone. Since 2011, the event has raised over $300,000.
A scholarship fund in the name of J. Arthur Bergeron and Lana Valley Estopinal has been established by the Bergeron’s so that more families can access Emerge’s services. All funds raised through the 2017 and 2018 events have directly supported this fund.
The 8th annual Battle Against Autism, presented by Robinson Brothers Ford Lincoln, was another tremendous success! All proceeds from the 2017 car raffle, auction, and golf tournament will go directly towards our therapy programs for young children with autism. We are honored to have the continued support of Robinson Brothers and our incredible attendees year after year to keep BAA a vital fundraiser for Emerge!
Battle Against Autism is a series of events created by Chip & Sandi Robinson of Robinson Brothers Ford Lincoln to raise funds for the The Emerge Center to assist in the growth of the Autism program. The Robinsons are passionate about raising awareness and acceptance of those living with autism. Over the past eight years, the annual car raffle, party and auction, and team golf tournament have raised nearly $1,000,000 for The Emerge Center.
