Emerge’s Licensed Clinical Social Worker is on hand to guide parents through our programs. Her services include answering questions about whether your child is a good fit for Emerge, determining your child’s best placement, and enrolling into Emerge’s services. She also manages our parent resource library, runs a number of parent support groups that meet regularly at the center, and hosts monthly Lunch-N-Learn presentations for families in our Conference Room. Finally, Emerge’s Social Worker is available to provide families with information, connect with local resources, and provides counseling. The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
The AOTA advances the quality, availability, use, and support of occupational therapy through standard-setting, advocacy, education, and research on behalf of its members and the public.

The American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF)
The AOTF serves the public interest by supporting occupational therapy research and increasing public understanding of the important relationship between everyday activities (occupations) and health. They accomplish these aims primarily through grants and scholarships, programs and publications.

Consortium For Citizens With Disabilities (CCD)
The CCD is a coalition of approximately 100 national disability organizations working together to advocate for national public policy that ensures the self-determination, independence, empowerment, integration and inclusion of children and adults with disabilities in all aspects of society.
